What are the new age limits for workers?
➤ Minimum Age: 18 years for all non-domestic sectors.
➤ Maximum Age: As of July 2025, the maximum age to work in Singapore is 63 years old.
➤ New Applicants: You can now apply for new Work Permits for candidates up to 61 years old (previously 50 for most nationalities).
Which countries can I source workers from?
➤ You can hire from Malaysia, India, North Asian sources (HK, South Korea, Taiwan), and PRC.
➤ From June 2025, the “Non-Traditional Source” (NTS) list expanded to include Bhutan, Cambodia, and Laos alongside India, Sri Lanka, and others.
How long can a worker stay in Singapore?
➤ Starting July 2025, the maximum employment duration limit (14–26 years) has been removed. You can keep skilled workers as long as they are fit to work and you wish to employ them.

How do I calculate my hiring Quota?
➤ Your quota (Dependency Ratio Ceiling) is a percentage of your total workforce. In the Services sector, you can hire up to 35% foreign workers, while Manufacturing allows up to 60%.
➤ To count as one local employee for your quota, a Singaporean/PR must earn at least $1,600 (Local Qualifying Salary).
What are my medical insurance obligations?
➤ You must provide medical insurance with at least $60,000 annual coverage for WP and S Pass holders.
➤ Since late 2025, insurers must offer direct billing to hospitals so you don’t have to pay large sums upfront.
What are the housing and levy requirements?
➤ Levy: You must pay a monthly fee for WP and S Pass holders. S Pass levies are now standardized at $650.
➤ Housing: You are legally responsible for providing MOM-approved housing and must update the worker’s address in the OFWAS system within 5 days of any change.
➤ Pre-Entry Check: For the Construction, Marine, and Process (CMP) sectors, you must provide proof of housing before the worker is even allowed to enter Singapore.
