What is the difference between "Executive Search" and standard recruitment?

Standard recruitment often relies on active job seekers applying to ads. Executive Search (or Headhunting) is a proactive, confidential process. We target “passive talent”—top performers who are currently employed and not looking—but who would move for the right strategic opportunity.

For mid-to-senior roles, the process usually takes 8 to 12 weeks from the initial brief to the signed offer. This includes deep market mapping, multiple rounds of competency-based interviews, and rigorous reference checks. 

Yes. Many of our searches are confidential (e.g., replacing an incumbent or entering a new market). We use non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and discreet “blind” profiles to protect your company’s identity until the final stages of the interview. 

Beyond technical skills, we use behavioral interview techniques and leadership audits. We look at a candidate’s past success in similar company cultures (e.g., MNC vs. Startup) and their ability to align with your organization’s 5-year vision.

It is more extensive than a typical interview. Expect an initial “Vibe Check” with a Hansing partner, followed by deep-dive competency interviews, and finally, sessions with the client’s Board or Founders. We provide full coaching and briefing at every stage.
